Community Services
Summa Wadsworth-Rittman Hospital provides a variety of community services to encourage health and wellness. Such programs include:
- Free health screenings which are offered periodically by area physicians and various hospital professionals. Screenings such as skin cancer screenings, blood pressure checks, foot screenings and cholesterol tests. Screenings are promoted in the hospital's newsletter, in area newspapers and on the events calendar on the home page of this website.
- A free lecture series featuring hospital physicians and other staff professionals. Lectures are promoted in the hospital's newsletter, in area newspapers and on the events calendar on the home page of this website.
- A speakers bureau, which provides educational programs for clubs and business meetings.
- The Vintage Years Club for those age 55 and over.
- Support groups for cardiopulmonary patients and for diabetic patients.
- Classes and other training programs to teach health-related subjects such as CPR and methods to quit smoking. Classes are promoted in the hospital's newsletter, in area newspapers and on our Current Events page of this website.
