Support Groups

Summa Wadsworth-Rittman Hospital sponsors two support groups – the Cardiopulmonary Support Group and the Diabetic Support Group.

Cardiopulmonary Support Group

The Cardiopulmonary Support Group is for those with any type of heart or breathing problems, their family members or caregiver. The meetings consist of education, information and networking. Speakers are also provided to discuss a variety of related topics.

The group meets the first Thursday* of each month at 3:30 p.m. in the hospital's Education Center. Registration is not required. For more information, call 330-331-1636 or 1-800-828-1789, extension 1636.

Diabetic Support Group

The Diabetic Support Group meets monthly for a free breakfast meeting and an educational program on various topics concerning diabetes. Such topics may include proper nutrition, medications and other topics of concern to the group. Group members can ask questions, learn helpful information and meet others with diabetes. Each member may also bring a guest to the meeting.

The group meets on the last Saturday* of each month at 8 a.m., in the hospital's Cafeteria.  Registration is not required.
