Healthy Benefits Occupational Health Services
Summa Wadsworth-Rittman Hospital's Healthy Benefits Occupational Health Department program is designed to benefit both employers and employees by providing a full range of occupational health services.
24-hour injury care is available through the hospital's Emergency Center. Employees then receive follow-up care in Healthy Benefits by BWC-certified providers, who closely manage their care. If necessary, workers are referred for further diagnostic tests, physical and/or occupational therapy, and consultations to specialists.
Pre-employment physicals are tailored to fit your needs. Types of physicals include:
- Pre-placement
- Periodic
- DOT
- Firefighter and emergency personnel
- Respirator clearance
- Return to work
As an employer, you can choose which tests will be a part of your company's physical. Some of our available tests are:
- Vision screening- near and far acuity, peripheral vision, color test
- Audiometry
- Pulmonary function testing (spirometry)
- EKG and Stress EKG testing
- Laboratory tests such as lipid profile, glucose level, heavy metals (lead, arsenic, cadmium, chromium, etc.)
- Radiology tests such as chest or spine X-rays
Substance Abuse Testing
- Urine drug screen testing performed by a laboratory certified by the Federal Department of Health and Human Services
- Instant urine drug screens and hair tests are available
- Random selection pool for both Federal Department of Transportation (DOT) mandated testing or private employer testing programs including Ohio BWC Drug-free Workplace programs
- Certified Medical Review Officer services for verification of positive drug screens
- Breath alcohol testing performed by Breath Alcohol Technicians trained using the federal DOT model course
- Healthy Benefits is a member of the Drug and Alcohol Testing Industry Association (DATIA)
Health screenings and immunizations can be provided at your facility upon your request, including:
- Blood pressure
- Cholesterol
- Audiometry
- Pulmonary function testing
- Hepatitis B vaccine
- TB skin testing
- Tetanus vaccine
Health and wellness training at your facility or WRH:
- Blood-borne pathogens
- CPR, first aid, AED training
- Smoking cessation
- Stress management
