Clinical Specialties
The Summa Wadsworth-Rittman Hospital Clinical Specialties Department serves a dual purpose for the hospital and community. First, it provides the area with independent surgical and medical specialists from Akron, Canton, Medina and Cleveland, who use the department as a satellite office. Specialties include:

Endoscopy services include colonoscopy, EGD, bronchoscopy, cystoscopy and TEE (trans-esophageal echocardiogram) services. The Clinical Specialties physicians also provide trans-rectal ultrasounds and biopsy (TRUS), vasectomies, nerve conduction testing and electromyogram (NCT/EMG), breast and vaginal ultrasounds, breast biopsy, skin and lesion biopsy, bone marrow biopsy, liver biopsy, endometrial biopsy and paracentesis.
The Clinical Specialties Department also provides physician scheduled procedures for outpatients. These services include chemotherapy, blood administration, infusions, Port/PICC line care, minor surgery and YAG and SLT Laser procedures.
Finally, our Clinical Specialties Department also hosts a Social Security Disability Clinic that is staffed by government-certified physicians.
